Having been a in the film and video production world for over 3 decades,Tony Pfau has worked on features, independent features, and has well over 1000 commercials and hundreds of corporate presentations. He maintains the one philosophy as a rule; “There is absolutely nothing that can’t make it to the screen”
Avpfilms, formerly AVP Productions was formed as a boutique production company and production services company in 1986 and is the hub for director / producer and chief creative, Tony Pfau. Prior to officially organizing as a business, Tony paid his dues in real film wrok, starting out with the name “don’t touch that” or ” &*&^% Tony” for a few years. Those years provided the foundation for producing and directing great award winning spots, corporate work for the next few decades.
Currently, Tony is now freelancing as an editor, providing first cut services on all formats and a variety of systems. For smaller budgets and virals, we have a list of up and comings that are working in the viral DSLR world. He is an accomplished shooter, director and producer.
Tony has been involved in many leading edge technologies over the years. In the mid 80’s before anyone had heard of virtual reality, Tony along with Ginsburg productions created numerous live action and VR hybrid projects, interactive DVD’s with user created video responses to their activity and merging motion control with aerial systems. He also worked out keyword searchable database managment for interview media, long ago.
As the indusrty slowed down and moved to the DV world and the big budgets vanished, Tony begain teaching the craft at the Colorado Film School. To date he has many former students enjoying a successful career.

Tony spent time in Austin Texas, the cute little indie market with a great film festival. While there he shot, and suffered through, several independent films in the budding, starving artist, no budget, miniHD formats. Since the bank really doesn’t accept passion as deposits, he has since to the real professional world .
