Truly a tribute to good people stepping up to help others in the face of a disaster.

This is an award winning short doc about the disaster recovery efforts when the Red River flooded Grand Forks, South Dakota and US West kept critical communications lines working.  It’s lifted from VHS, but you’ll see it is still quite amazing.

Shooting this piece had many challenges, not only moving around, but, working in areas that are now 3 plus feet deep in water.  Just to get to the affected area required being airlifted in or driving 150 miles around.
